The Transformation of our Design Centres

The saying “People buy what they see” has never been truer than it is today. In a world dominated by screens and social media, physical spaces still hold power – especially in industries like kitchen and home design. While digital platforms are great for engagement, there’s nothing quite like the tactile and immersive experience of seeing and interacting with products in person.

That’s why, back in May, our design team embarked on an ambitious journey to revamp our Northern and Southern Design Centres. This project was more than just a makeover; it was about reimagining how our customers interact with our products, featuring over 30 brand-new kitchen and bedroom displays alongside cutting-edge category selection areas. The goal was clear: to enhance two already leading facilities with innovative design features while placing an even greater focus on customer experience.

Bringing Inspiration to Life

The redesign introduced stunning new displays from some of our most celebrated product families, including:

  • Belsay Beaded
  • Mornington Vale
  • Arlo
  • Unity
  • 1909

Each display was carefully curated to showcase not only the aesthetic possibilities but also the functionality and quality that set our products apart. But the centrepiece of the refit is undeniably the new category selection areas – designed to give customers a hands-on experience like never before.

A Closer Look at the Category Selection Areas

Spanning an impressive 200m² at the Northern Design Centre and 160m² at the Southern Design Centre, these spaces are a true testament to the breadth and depth of our product range. They’ve been designed to celebrate the details that matter most to our customers, making it easier than ever to explore and compare options.

  • Doors: Over 150 samples, showcasing an array of styles and finishes.
  • Worksurfaces: A comprehensive display of materials and processes.
  • Handles: A collection of 300+ options, grouped by material and design.
  • Waste Management: Systems ranging from 300mm to 600mm.
  • Sinks & Taps: Featuring premium suppliers Nobili and Alveus.
  • Kesseböhmer Storage Systems: A dedicated showcase of commercial storage solutions, from larder pull-outs to base unit configurations.

Highly Positive Feedback

The response to the new spaces has been nothing short of phenomenal. Customers have shared their excitement about the category selection areas, particularly for their potential in design presentations and meetings. The overwhelmingly positive feedback has already validated our investment, proving that these enhanced spaces aren’t just showrooms—they’re places of inspiration, creativity, and connection.

By transforming these spaces, we’ve reinforced a simple truth: seeing really is believing. Whether it’s the gleam of a perfectly finished door, the texture of a worksurface, or the click of a perfectly engineered hinge, the ability to interact with products in person creates a level of trust and enthusiasm that no digital platform can replicate.

If you haven’t visited yet, we invite you to come and see for yourself. After all, sometimes the best way to choose is simply to experience.
